Day 30

M is a street vendor who sells pork on a stick and sticky rice.  She has a motorcycle with a side cart that she converts into a little drive-by stand.  M arrives on our old apartment street around 4am to set up and begin cooking her pork sticks.  Her daily schedule varies on how quickly she sells the food.  On most days she is finished selling her supply, which is 400 pork sticks and 75 small sandwich-size bags of rice, by around 10am.  In the busy season, she sells almost double that in the same amount of time.  An average customer would buy 5 pork sticks and a bag of rice for around 80 cents. 

We met M one morning as we were walking to the gym.  We would pass by her every morning on our way to workout.  We finally got up enough courage to use our broken Thai to speak to her since she can’t speak any English.  After talking to her we discovered that her mother, some of her siblings, and M all share our beliefs.  M sometimes attends a small fellowship on Sundays, but doesn’t have much sound knowledge of the Word.  L asked to study with her, but she said she has no time to do that.  We have also noticed that M has started wearing some Budd. charms around her neck.  We are unsure why she is wearing these if she is a true follower.  Because we have moved into a home, we don’t see her everyday, but we continue to visit her on a weekly basis. 

Ask that the Father would bless her business, so she would know that this is a blessing from Him.  Ask that she would commit to attending her fellowship on a weekly basis and become interested in studying with L and throw away the Budd. charms she has begun wearing around her neck.
