Day 31

The White Temple

We have now officially lived in Thailand for a year and a half.  We have experienced so many exciting new adventures in the culture, new landscapes and climate, and with the many new local friends we have met along the way.  We have seen the Father open hearts, change lives, and begin to work miracles to fight against strongholds the enemy has created.  During the time we have spent here, we have been on the mountaintop, but have also gone through some tough valleys.  Anytime the work of the Father is being done, the enemy is on high alert and is also at work to war against us.

We will finish this term on December 8th and return back to the States for a visit with our family, friends, and fellowship partners.  During that time, we will also welcome our first child, which we are happy to announce is a boy!  Our time in the states will be a much needed time of refreshment before we return back to Thailand in March of 2012 to continue the work here.

Ask the Father to encourage us to boldly proclaim His name everywhere we go with everyone we meet.  The enemy is very real and present here in every walk of life, whether in the temples, markets, stores, or neighborhoods.  We are surrounded by idols and people worshipping them everywhere we look.  The enemy is good to deceive and distract us from our calling through everyday tasks, problems, and even can cause us to have disagreements in our marriage.  Ask that the Father’s strength and power would renew us daily, and we would remain united in all we do.  Finally, lift up L and our unborn son.  We have recently learned that L has a uterine tumor.  We will have to closely monitor the bump and if it grows she will have to have surgery and possibly a c-section.  Join us in asking the Father to remove the tumor and to keep it from growing larger.
