For several weeks now, L has been talking with a woman who sells sticky rice and grilled pork on our street every morning.  L met her as she was walking to our workout gym each morning.  The woman lives thirty minutes away, but comes on her motorcycle and cart to set up a grilled pork stand.  Sticky rice and grilled pork (muu ping) are a staple in the local people’s diet, especially for breakfast.

L visits with her on most mornings and has been trying to share with her when possible.  The woman has really opened up to L about her family and personal life.  L has given her a copy of the Book, and she has read some of it.  The woman says she would like to learn more and know more, but she doesn’t have any free time because she spends her whole day selling food and then preparing for the next day.

The last couple of times L met with her, she has invited us to come to her home.  So, today we finally took some time to go.  After our Sunday meeting, we took Dew and Aim and headed out to her house.  We got to visit and meet her husband.  He didn’t stay long because he had to go fix someone’s motorcycle.  He works as a handyman, mostly on motorcycle’s.  While we were there, Aim shared our story from our Sunday meeting with her.  The woman said she had never heard that story before, but would like to hear more.  She asked us if we had a DVD about the Book.  Tomorrow, L will be delivering a DVD to her.  We had a great visit and it was fun to see Aim share for the first time in her life.  We were thankful to have Dew and Aim because the woman doesn’t speak any English.  Dew and Aim were able to help clear up some of the questions L had about some of their morning conversations at the rice and pork stand.
