Wednesday night featured our third scrapbooking event at the community center, Baan Kanoon. Each month we are uncertain how many people will come, and this month was no different. Due to it being rainy season, most people try to stay inside as much as possible and the slight hint of rain coming people don’t venture out much. Wednesday was a very rainy day, and it sprinkled off and on all night. So, we didn’t expect too many people. Well, 32 people showed up! It was a little crazy, but we managed and created seating for everyone and shuffled supplies around so everyone had what they needed to make the night’s craft.
Our theme for this month was “Priorities.” We made magnetic boards to post on refrigerators that had pockets for a small notebook and pencil. We centered the evening around what we fill our time with and how to make sure our priorities are in order. Of course, we tied it in to a story from the book. It was a fun night. We are always amazed at how this activity is bringing people to hear the Good News! We are also making great contacts and are making sure to follow up after each month. L has two appointments next week with girls she met from the different scrapbook nights.
We normally only have three tables, but we had to add a fourth so J and Dew got to host that table! They are such good sports!
