Tuesday Night is Village Night

We love Tuesdays!  Our heart is to work with locals in their homes, and we get to do that on Tuesday nights.  J leaves a little early from the office and we load up a crew and head out.  The village we have been working with is about 40 minutes south of our city.  A couple began working in the village a year ago.  There is now a group that meets regularly on Tuesdays to study the Word and learn about the Father.  It is so amazing to watch two cultures join together each week.

  

Each Tuesday evening, we meet at this house in the village for our group.  There is a small table in the front yard where we meet.  Here are two of the locals who lead the group now as they have transitioned leadership from us to the locals.  It is so neat to see them take ownership and guidance in their village!

The first week we went, we couldn't meet outside because it was raining so we were able to meet inside the house instead of in the front yard.  Listening and watching them learn about the Father was so precious and exciting.  They are so hungry to learn.  

Last week this young man decided to follow the Father after 6 months of learning and hearing about Him.  He asked many questions and learned the truth.  These children understand completely what it means to follow the Father as they experience real hardship day in and day out.  What an awesome evening!

It is onion picking season here, so many of them spend their days picking onions and selling them to feed their families.  You can smell them a mile away!

We can't wait to pick the bananas off those trees during banana season!  We are so thankful we get to be a part of this group each week.  We continue to hope it grows and spreads!  We are also excited to begin work in a nearby village ourselves.
