The Golden Arches

Drive-thru restaurants are something we grew accustomed to in America.  When we were running behind and needed a quick meal, it was a no-brainer to head to the nearest Drive-thru.  It has been over a year since we have been able to enjoy the convenience of a Drive-thru.  The closest thing to a drive-thru for us is a food stall on the side of the road.  However, last month our city built their first Drive-thru!!  McDonald’s, yes the token food chain, brought smiles to our faces by providing us with convenience once again.
Yesterday, we decided to experience the Drive-thru.  It was rather interesting as we drive on the opposite side of the road so everything is done in reverse.  Check out the pictures to get an idea of how it has to be done.

Pull up on the left side of the restaurant. (Left-side meaning when you are standing at the front looking at it.)

Directions on how to use the drive-thru.  This is the first drive-thru in the northern part of our country, so many people have never used one before.  It is quite a novelty here! Notice which side of the car the man is on.

J ordering for the first time from the opposite side of the car.  It was quite awkward and strange.  He ordered all in their language and they got the order right.  Even with L’s special order of a plain cheeseburger!
