Christmas in Baan Thaa Village Event

December 18th we celebrated Christmas with people of Baan Thaa Village.  This is the village we have been teaching and working in for the last 10 months.  We wanted to use the Christmas holiday as an opportunity to meet all the villagers and share our story with them.

We had a wonderful day with a lot of helpers from our local friends, colleagues, and even some new friends from the state of Florida.  We had a wide range of activities going on throughout the party.  We began the party officially at 3:00pm, but we spent time with people all day long.  We arrived around 8 am to begin the set up for the event.

The event began with Dream, our MC, sharing about all the festivities and us giving an introduction about who we are and why we are here.

The head of the village and one of the village elders were our special guests.

We ended the evening with a meal together that all the village ladies had prepared.  They worked all day to prepare a meal for 120 people.  They worked diligently without complaining and with a smile on their face.  We are so grateful for everyone who joined together to make this event happen.

During the meal we listened to some testimonies from our national friends and then watched a short videos of a few more testimonies from national celebrities.

At the close of the evening, our group from the village and all the volunteers joined together for an opportunity to ask the Father to bless the people of this area and for their hearts to be open to Him.
