Baking Business

For the last month, we have been meeting on Sunday afternoons with Dew, J’s riding partner, and Aim, his girlfriend who studies the Word with L on Wednesdays, for some “Hang Out” time. 

Dew and J study the Word together while the girls have some fun.  We have been meeting in our apartment, so it is easy for the girls to bake, which always seems to work in the guys favor!  A couple of weeks ago while the boys were studying, Aim asked L to teach her how to make a chocolate cake, so once again L put her baking skills to the test.  (Thanks to Jaye, friend back home, for the recipe!) 

Aim really wants to learn how to make American food, so she is coming to a weekly cooking class at the community center and also getting a few extra lessons on the side from L.  This particular week the girls left the guys to study in the living room and headed off to the kitchen.  Aim loves chocolate, so we made a chocolate cake.  (L will make it again tomorrow for Aim’s birthday!)

Finished product!  We all decided it was the best cake we had ever eaten!  We all agreed that it should be sold in stores.  (Jaye, you might want to think about going into a baking business.)

We were so excited about eating the cake that we forgot to take a picture of us enjoying it.  :)

Dew and J have decided that they want us to bake every Sunday while they study.  They think it is a perfect way to finish their time in the Word!
