Day 12

G the day we met him on the road.

G is a recent college graduate from a local university in Biology.  He is getting ready to go to Japan for a year of additional study.  He received a scholarship to a university there where he will study Japanese and Biology.  He will move in September.  G is one of the students we met on the street in front of our apartment.  He was walking around with a group of friends trying to complete a survey for his faculty at the university where he attended.  They asked us if we would be interested in helping them out.  Since then, we have met with G on several different occasions.

As a young boy G spent some time as a monk at a temple.  He comes from a Budd. family, so they believe it is the responsibility of the son to make enough merit for the mom and family.  There is nothing a woman of the family can do to earn enough merit for herself.  G has heard many of the stories we have shared and understands them.  However, his interest stops there.  We feel he has put up a barrier to not allow himself to think to much about the stories.

Ask that G would recognize the truth about the Father and His redeeming love.  Also, ask that he would realize the only true way to the Father is through His son.
