Even in a country that doesn’t have a clue what Thanksgiving is, we were able to have some fun and celebrate our American holiday. J was able to get the day off from the office and be at home for a full day. The Saturday before Thanksgiving we had a nice dinner with several of the families from the office. We enjoyed all the trimmings…turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing, rolls, pumpkin pie, and all kinds of fun desserts!
However on Thanksgiving Day, we decided not to stuff ourselves with a huge meal but instead zip-line through the jungles of our country with a friend who was visiting from the states. L was scared to death, but we made sure she was safe and enjoyed screaming her way through all the zip-lines.
Just arriving at Flight of the Gibbon and suiting up.
We are ready…gear and all!
Our friend Jason is ready for the ride of his life!
Not the first sign L wants to see!
L still sporting a smile.
Us with our guide and friend, Mr. B!
The boys with Mr. B. He comes to the community center and hangs out.
A gibbon in the wild! Look closely!
L getting ready for the longest zip-line…800 meters!
She survived with a smile on her face, but no voice!
Our friend Jason playing on the zip-line.
Walking through the jungle
All three of us riding together.
L survived all 33 platforms and zip-lines. She enjoyed it.
J had been wanting to come to the Flight of the Gibbon since we arrived 11 months ago. Finally, we made it happen!
Mr. B just riding along and chillin’
J about to attempt the second longest zip-line.
We almost made it home without L dying.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I think this looks like a blast... but then I like motorcycles and sky diving. I can't think of too many things that would be more fun than ziplines through the jungle. WOW!
