We took a quick day trip to the northern part of the country on Monday. J had a day off from the office, so we decided to take a day to see some more of the country. This part of the country is known for the curvy roads. We drove over 1500 hairpin curves to get to our final destination. The scenery was beautiful.

This was our cave guide. She is a single mother of two who only gets to work 2 days a week. We had the opportunity to share with her and leave some information with her and her daughter.
Tuesday night we headed out to the village for our regular group time, but little did we know that they planned a birthday celebration with 20 of there closest friends and family—and they wanted us to be apart of it. We got to feast on village food with the whole family to celebrate two of the men’s birthdays.

After dinner, L and all the women and children studied together. Meanwhile, J met with and visited with all the men. It was a great opportunity for us to meet the extended family and some more of our host family’s friends.
Wednesday night was Scrapbooking! We got to meet some new people and one of our national partners was able to share with all who came.
J continues to get to scrapbook each month as well with the guys who come. This month J was able to meet Eiad (black shirt next to J). J has an appointment with him this week.
Jae and Yon are brother and sister. L had fun getting to know them.
These two girls came to the community center for the first time for scrapbooking and had a great time.
Thursday night we decorated for the Halloween Party on Friday night.

Friday night was the Halloween Party. L was a college student and J was a cyclist.
It turned out to be a great party. We had around 50 people attend. We played several games and Dew was able to share with everyone who came. He did a great job!

We had the opportunity to meet some really neat college students.
Our pinata broke after one swing, so we had a great time throwing out the candy. (Thank you Second for donating all the candy!)

Sunday we met with our group and had two new people come! We had a great group! One of Aim’s friends came and Ging, L’s language partner joined us.
We had some fun group shots together! Hopefully, everyone will come back next Sunday.
As you can see, we have had a full week. The Father is good and we are so blessed to be a part of all that is going on. However, we decided we need a day to recoup from all the week’s activities. No time for that! This week is just as booked!
